February 2023 More Events
Distrib Films US partnered with Fathom Events, the distribution leader in event cinema to present the French documentary “Lourdes” directed by Thierry Demaizère and Alban Teurlai to American audiences. For the first time, "Lourdes” came to over 700 movie theaters nationwide for a two night only event on February 8th, 2023 (in French with English subtitles) and February 9th, 2023 (in French with Spanish subtitles) at 7pm.
The documentary tells the compelling stories of six fragile pilgrims in search of a miracle at Our Lady of Lourdes, a sanctuary in the south of France that has drawn thousands of travelers daily since the first apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1858. A Cesar for Best Documentary nominee, Lourdes is an intimate and hopeful portrait of the pilgrims that never judge or interfere with their journey to finding healing.

Janet Hulstrand, author of ‘Demystifying the French’ is here to help us understand France and its customs, distilling forty-plus years of insightful (and hilarious) experience living and working in the country.
Janet Hulstrand is a writer, editor, writing coach, and teacher who divides her time between the US and France. She created and has taught literature classes for City University of New York study abroad programs in Paris since 1997, and teaches online classes for Politics and Prose bookstore in Washington DC.
